Staff Testimonial

I have worked at barracudas for five years now and have moved up roles from being a lifeguard to group coordinator to early years manager. Barracudas is just good fun, you get to work with great, like-minded people and help children have an exciting day. Also, I do like that there's opportunities to grow in the roles on camp. I started when I was 18 and I had developed my skills and this has been recognised by management, giving me the opportunity to progress. Working at barracudas has given me great experience and helped me so much while I was training to be a primary school teacher and once I had qualified. You learn so much from other staff across camp, that you become an expert in creating exciting and fun activities. At times I have been inspired. I would recommend barracudas to anyone with/wanting experience with children and who is willing to work hard. The people that work the hardest get the most out of the experience. It genuinely is a fun job and you meet really good friends.

Easter Camp Round Up!

Easter Camp Round Up!

As Easter camps have now come to a close, it’s time for a quick recap on everything that happened!

The Stats:

This Easter we achieved some incredible results, making all of that extra-special Easter effort worth it!

With 5446 individual bookings and 5099.6 child weeks we’ve had a fantastic Easter, so thank you to all of the 688 staff members who made this Easter holiday one to remember!

Ofsted Ratings:

We also have other reasons to celebrate, as all 3 of the camps visited by Ofsted over Easter were given an: “Outstanding” rating!

This is a fantastic achievement, well done to everyone involved!

Fun Times for a Good Cause:

This Easter, some our camps took part in a charity event to raise money for Children with Cancer!

Some of you (the unlucky ones) may remember it especially well, as the event involved wearing a wellie, filled with things that really shouldn’t have been inside them.

We had wellies with: jelly, whipped cream, beans, custard (you name it, it was in there).

A lot of money was raised and a lot of fun was had, thanks to all who took part!

Sadly we don’t know the exact figure raised yet, but stay tuned to our social media pages to find out the full total soon!

Around the World in 80 Ways & Futuristic Fun Day:

During the 2 Fridays we had on camp this Easter, we ran our two theme days!

It wasn’t just the kids who got involved however, our staff also dressed for the occasion to make sure everyone had a good time! There were some great costumes, from Hawaiian shirts to inflatable kangaroos, from sombreros to robot face paint, we truly had some creative staff!

Thanks to everyone for getting stuck in and making the days fun!

Why not do it all again?

We’re hoping you all had a great time this Easter!

Why not create more lifelong memories this summer for both you and the children, as we have job opportunities available at our summer camps too!
