DBS Checks

The government rules changed in 2012 and applicants are now responsible to pay for their DBS check. The charge for a DBS check is £52.00. The check will only been processed if/when your signed contract is received and the amount will be deducted from your wages at the end of the season worked.

Barracudas are able to accept a DBS check which you have obtained through another employer, but it must have been issued within the last 3 before camp has started and cover you for the duration of your contract.

Please also be aware that all staff working on camp need to have a valid DBS check, if you do not have a valid DBS through Barracudas or another organisation you will need to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure Check prior to working with us.

To obtain a DBS through Barracudas if you have been offered employment please call the office on 01480 497533 and speak to your recruitment contact.


If you receive a DBS check through Barracudas and the certificate dose not turn up, please notify us within 90 days of completing your online enhanced disclosure check application. If we are not notified within 90 days we cannot request a new certificate to be printed and the process will have to be started again.

Staff members receiving a DBS through Barracudas are responsible for the safety of their certificates, please ensure you get your certificate back once verified on your first day of camp. Barracudas will not be held responsible for lost or misplaced certificates.
